About the Theme: Studies have shown that uncertainty is the most stressful condition of our bodies. How do we embody a "civilization of hope" that rejects fear, discouragement, and passivity?
About the Presenter: Fr. Dan Dorsey is a member of the Glenmary Home Missioners, a Catholic missionary society founded and headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. I was ordained in 1978 and later served as pastor of two Glenmary missions in southeast Arkansas (Monticello and Warren) before coming to leadership in 1999 as vice president. I served one term as vice president and was then elected in 2003 to the first of two four terms Glenmary's president. In my years of home mission ministry, I have also served in Cincinnati as Glenmary's director of novices, and in Morehead, Ky., as associate pastor of a mission serving six rural countries. I currently serve once again as president of Glenmary.
