About the Theme: According to Donald Senior, scripture scholar and co-author of the Catholic Study Bible, the literal meaning of the Greek word
mentanoiein (usually translated as "Repent") means to change one's mind or perspective and is used by Jesus throughout the Gospel of Mark to call his disciples to see reality, God's reality, with the new eyes of faith and to transform their lives accordingly. In this retreat, we will see how the teachings of Jesus ("love your enemies, forgive seventy times seven times, be merciful as your heavenly Father is merciful, go sell what you have and give to the poor") are calling us to transform our whole way of thinking in order to see reality with the eyes of faith and transform our lives accordingly.
